Lekki LCDA takes ‘Food Palliative’ distribution to the doorsteps of 3,000 beneficiaries

The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has once again demonstrated his commitment to grassroots welfare through the successful distribution of the October edition of the RBK Monthly Food Palliative across various communities within Lekki LCDA.

A total of 3,003 bags of rice were distributed directly to households in 21 communities, ensuring that the food aid reached those who need it the most.

The benefiting communities include Tiye, Imobido, Ilege, Orijeru, Idasho, Magbon-Segun, Itoke, Idotun, Okunraye, Olomowewe, Origanrigan 2, Osoroko, Ajegunle, Oju-Oto, Lekki, Ebute-Lekki, Siriwon, Igbekodo, Apakin, Otolu, and Folu communities.

According to the LCDA chairman, the initiative is designed to cushion the effect of the current economic situation and complement President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to bring relief to Nigerians at the grassroots level.

Meanwhile, Residents and community leaders who benefited from the October distribution commended Engr. Kasali for his continuous show of compassion and dedication.

Many described him as “a true grassroots leader”whose leadership has had a direct positive impact on the people.

One beneficiary from the Osoroko community said, “We appreciate the chairman for remembering us every month. The fact that this palliative is brought to our doorsteps makes life easier for many families.”

So far, all 21 communities under Lekki LCDA have benefited from the ongoing RBK Palliative Rice Distribution Initiative, which has been held consistently every month.

The council chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining the programme as part of efforts to promote food security and social welfare across Lekki LCDA.

“This initiative is about giving back to the people who entrusted us with leadership. We will continue to prioritise the welfare of our residents,” Engr. Kasali stated.

The RBK Monthly Food Palliative Initiative remains one of the most consistent and impactful local government-led welfare programmes within Lagos State, providing hope and relief to thousands of residents.
