Representing the Executive Chairman of the local government, Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, the Supervisor for Youths and Sports Development, Hakeem Oluwole Balogun, described the programme as a strategic investment in the future of young people.
He emphasized that the initiative goes beyond routine training, positioning it as a platform for shaping responsible leaders in Lagos State.

Speaking at the event, Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade expressed appreciation to the local government for its support and collaboration.
She encouraged participants to take full advantage of the programme, noting that the academy is committed to equipping young individuals with the mindset and skills required for impactful leadership.
The YOU-LEAD curriculum is designed to provide a holistic development experience, covering: communication and public speaking; teamwork and collaboration; problem-solving and critical thinking; emotional intelligence; financial literacy and employability; and emergency response skills.
The training aims to prepare participants not just for leadership roles, but also for real-world challenges in their personal and professional lives.
