“He has created a conducive youth-friendly environment and has been supporting programmes that maximise the potentials of every Nigerian youth, giving them the opportunity to thrive economically.” she said.
On his part, Kevin praised the Minister for encouraging the youth in the country. “As a respected leader and mentor whose expertise and dedication to public service are truly inspiring, you have readily demonstrated strong mentorship and passion for passionate young people.
“We look up to you for strength and support and we know that young people are learning from your wealth of experience and gaining valuable insights for development and growth.’’ He said.
According to the NAN reports, the meeting provided an opportunity for insightful discussion on nation-building.
In similar news, the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, has called on Nigerian youths to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the digital age to improve their lives and contribute to nation-building.
He made the statement in Kano at the commissioning of the Nigerian Communications Commission’s Northwest Digital Industrial Park, which was vandalised by rioters during the #EndBadGovernance Protest on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
“You have no excuse. You should not sit around and ask what your government and parents can do for you. You live at a time when you are connected to the world, and knowledge is available to you wherever you find yourself as long as you have access and opportunity to a centre like this,” He stated.
Tijani expressed worry about the destruction of the park during the protests. He said, “I saw the pictures of the destruction, and it was actually young people that I saw that were doing the destruction. It was extremely painful.”
“But I didn’t allow the pain and anger to get the better of me. I immediately looked around to get in touch with companies to revive the park, because I didn’t want bureaucracy to keep this project uncommissioned again.”
According to a report by The Sun, the Minister urged the people to deploy all the available resources to protect the park from a repeated attack, “We are protecting a platform for our young people to help build the society that we have once dreamt of.”
