The public dispute between Senator Ned Nwoko and Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has intensified, with the estranged couple trading accusations of drug abuse, harassment, and manipulation.
Nwoko, who represents the Delta North Senatorial District, took to social media to accuse Daniels’ brother, Sammy, of harassing his children and staff.

He also stated he had transferred approximately ₦125 million to Regina’s mother over the last two years.
“These videos show Sammy, Regina’s brother, repeatedly coming to my home and harassing my children and domestic staff, especially whenever I was not around,” Nwoko posted on his X account on Saturday.
He added, “His visits were often aggressive and disruptive.”
The senator further alleged that Sammy and another individual named Lawrence introduced the actress to drugs and actively undermined her attempts at rehabilitation.
“In fact, Lawrence and Sammy were the ones who first introduced and supplied these drugs to her,” he wrote. “They were deeply involved in the habit themselves, and rather than helping her get better, they kept drawing her back into the same destructive lifestyle.”
Nwoko explained that his efforts to enforce a rehabilitation plan, which included restricting access from “enablers,” created friction with her family.
“Unfortunately, Sammy, Destiny, and some of her friends constantly defied those instructions. They would sneak in and bring her the same drugs she was being treated for,” he claimed.
Recounting a recent incident, Nwoko described a 4 a.m. confrontation where he asked Sammy’s girlfriend to leave the house after finding Regina “clearly high.”
He alleged that Sammy later arrived at the residence, shouting and demanding a confrontation. “I eventually went downstairs and had to instruct the security to physically push him out of my compound. The level of audacity was shocking,” Nwoko stated.
In response, Daniels posted on her Instagram page, admitting to past drug use but accusing Nwoko of exaggerating the issue to create a public distraction and tarnish her reputation.
“Ned, how could you lie so openly and without even small remorse? You know my family has absolutely nothing to do with this… and now you are trying to make them look bad for no reason,” she wrote.
The actress argued that drug use was not the core problem in their relationship. “Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public, shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs,’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media.”
Daniels accused Nwoko of attempting to isolate her by targeting her family and friends. “You want to find a reason to arrest everyone around me so that I will have no one left beside me… Then, when I’m completely isolated and broken, I will be forced to come back to you,” she asserted.
She also made a startling counter-allegation, claiming Nwoko encouraged her drug use. “You say you want me to go for rehab, but you are the same Ned who always wanted me high because, in your words, I’m ‘sexier’ when I’m high,” she wrote.
Furthermore, Daniels accused the senator of confinement and medical manipulation, alleging he would seize her phones and have doctors administer sedatives against her will. “Why don’t you tell them how you lock me up and have doctors inject me with drugs meant for people with bipolar disorder?” she questioned.
The actress concluded by denying that a legal marriage ever existed between them, stating that her time with Nwoko had cost her valuable years and career opportunities.
Actress Regina Daniels has publicly addressed her estranged partner, Ned Nwoko, stating that their relationship was never legally a marriage and demanding he cease his efforts to control her life.
“No matter how much you think you spent on me, it can never equal the value of the time I gave you, my prime years, my energy, and the career opportunities I sacrificed while being with you,” Daniels declared.
She continued, “For the record, I would have filed for divorce long ago if there had ever been a legal marriage between us. We were never married in any court of law… Leave me alone, Ned. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force.”
This public statement is the latest development in a weeks-long saga of marital turmoil. Daniels had previously accused Nwoko of domestic violence on social media, an allegation he has since denied.
In response, Nwoko attributed her behaviour to substance abuse, claiming that her “current battle with substance abuse” had strained their relationship and insisted she enter rehabilitation.
The conflict escalated further with the arrest of the actress’s brother, Sammy Daniels. He was reportedly arrested in Lagos, transferred to Abuja, and subsequently arraigned in court, where he was remanded pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.
Amid the escalating crisis, Daniels shared a moment of personal solace, celebrating the reconciliation of her estranged parents. She noted that her mother and father, who had been separated for years, reunited in the wake of her family’s troubles, particularly her brother’s arrest.
In a series of emotional online videos, the actress expressed feeling overwhelmed by “fear, pressure, and uncertainty” regarding her brother’s safety. Her candid display of emotion has triggered a wave of concern on social media, with fans and colleagues calling for Sammy’s release and urging both parties to de-escalate the situation.
