During a public event celebrating his 70th birthday in Abuja at the Yar’Adua Centre, Daniel lauded Tinubu’s pragmatic approach and intellectual capabilities, stating, “Tinubu is one of the most practical individuals I have encountered. Nigeria has not yet witnessed his best. The President embodies a wealth of governance knowledge and innovative intelligence that many of us learn from.”

Daniel credited much of his success as Ogun State’s governor to Tinubu’s insights and creative thinking, noting, “I attribute a significant part of our administration’s achievements to his ideas. Many of our governance initiatives were inspired by his model.”

In addition to his personal acknowledgments, Daniel highlighted broader national challenges, stressing the importance of reliable information in policymaking, the fight against corruption, and the promotion of ethical leadership rooted in the “Omoluabi ethos.” He proposed structured methods for repatriating illicit funds and underscored the necessity for accountability and integrity in governance.
Regarding security issues, Daniel supported ongoing discussions on state policing and recommended the formation of State Police Councils to ensure oversight and prevent misuse of power.
