In a statement, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bianca Ojukwu and the UAE Ambassador highlighted their collaboration on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to enhance trade and investment.
This announcement came during a visit from UAE Ambassador Salem Saeed Al-Shamsi to the Nigerian Minister in Abuja. He noted that non-oil trade rose from $4.3 billion in 2024 to $5 billion in 2025, with predictions of reaching $8 billion by 2027.
The Ambassador also mentioned that visa restrictions for Nigerians have been relaxed, allowing over 15,000 Nigerians to visit the UAE in the past year.
