“Nigerians urged to emulate Kaduna for peaceful living,” says First Lady

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has encouraged citizens to take inspiration from the harmonious living in Kaduna State by fostering unity among different religious and ethnic groups.

This appeal was made on Thursday during the launch of a significant humanitarian initiative that involves distributing 100 trucks of rice and N1.2 billion in assistance to vulnerable Muslim communities across the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory.

At the event held at the Abba Kyari Banquet Hall, the First Lady referred to the initiative as a sign of solidarity with the Muslim community in northern Nigeria, especially with the Eid el-Kabir celebrations approaching.

She emphasized that this program embodies the values of sacrifice, compassion, and gratitude associated with the festive season, aiming to assist vulnerable households in the area.

Tinubu also mentioned a previous initiative from December 23, 2025, when palliatives were given to Christian communities in the North and highlighted that the current effort reflects her commitment to inclusivity.

She appealed to religious and community leaders to continue advocating for peace and mutual respect, underscoring that national unity is essential to addressing the country’s challenges.

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State praised the First Lady for her commitment to helping vulnerable populations, noting that her initiatives are impactful and inclusive.

He pointed out that her humanitarian work transcends religious and ethnic boundaries, showcasing the principles of unity and shared humanity.

The governor also mentioned his administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance living conditions through social programs, economic support initiatives, and improved security measures.
