No President has supported North like Tinubu, Uba Sani says

Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, expressed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has fulfilled his commitments to both Kaduna State and the northern region.

He made this statement during a visit from a presidential team in the North-West on Thursday. The governor emphasized that the president’s efforts have greatly enhanced security and improved vital infrastructure in the state.

He pointed out that these advancements have bolstered public backing for Tinubu in light of the 2027 elections, and have notably diminished the influence of opposition parties in Kaduna, which he characterized as nearly a one-party state.

Reflecting on a visit to Birnin Gwari in December 2022, Sani mentioned that security issues previously made travel risky, requiring military escorts.

However, he noted that the situation has since improved, allowing for safer travel without the need for such protection.

Sani asserted, “In my view, no president has supported northern Nigeria as much as President Tinubu has in under three years.” He dismissed concerns about Tinubu’s potential losses in the 2027 election, claiming that such views mainly circulate on social media.

Furthermore, Sani acknowledged Tinubu’s contributions to Nigeria’s pro-democracy efforts, highlighting his active involvement while others remained silent.
