A prominent figure in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Biodun Ajiboye, has warned that Nigeria’s future could be endangered if citizens are not cautious of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Ajiboye made the remarks on Monday while speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he launched a strong attack on the opposition party, portraying it as a destabilising force.

“If Nigerians are not careful with these people called the ADC, they will destroy the future of Nigeria,” he said.
Ajiboye used the platform to defend the federal government against mounting criticism, particularly regarding its spending priorities amid economic hardship.
He described Nigeria’s security challenges as a “general insurgency,” citing threats from extremist groups such as ISIS and ISWAP, and argued that the government’s actions should be understood within that context.
Responding to allegations that the government hired public relations consultants at a time of widespread hunger, Ajiboye questioned the criticism, insisting that such measures were legitimate.

“Is it wrong to employ the services of public relations experts? Is lobbying a criminal act?” he asked.
Drawing from his professional background, Ajiboye said engaging communication experts can be necessary during periods of crisis.
“In public relations, which I know very well, when a situation is getting worse and the channel of conviction is very narrow, you need some experts to break the ice,” he explained.
Ajiboye accused the ADC of acting maliciously in its criticism of the government, using strong language to describe the opposition coalition.

“What has the Nigerian government done wrong? You see, these people are very wicked, and Nigerians need to understand that that coalition called ADC is evil,” he stated.
Addressing reports that the government spent $9 million on public relations efforts, Ajiboye maintained that the expenditure was justified given the circumstances.
“For God’s sake, we saved Nigeria from unjustifiable destruction that could have happened from one man whose action cannot be predicted the next minute,” he said.
