“As the representative of the Lagos East Senatorial District, I am deeply concerned about the aggressive and misleading recruitment tactics being used to lure young people into an unproductive and exploitative cycle,” he said.
He cited areas including Epe, Ikorodu, Bariga, and other parts of Lagos East, alleging that hundreds, if not thousands of youths are being misled and financially drained under promises of prosperity and financial independence.

The Youth Legislator warned that the alleged activities go beyond individual financial losses and pose broader risks to society.
“This is not only harmful to individuals; it undermines the collective future of our youth and threatens the socioeconomic progress of our communities,” Rahmon noted.
Rahmon called on parents, community leaders, institutions, and young Nigerians to work together to curb youth exploitation.
“We must not remain silent. I call on parents, community leaders, institutions, and young people themselves to join hands in raising awareness, demanding accountability, and putting an end to all forms of exploitation of our youths,” he said.
“The future of Nigerian youth must be protected, and together, we will protect it,” he added.
