Speaking ahead of the encounter, she said her mission this season is to contribute significantly to the team’s success.

“My plan is to help the team and make my impact felt this new season. My target is to score goals for my team and ensure we qualify for the Super Six,” she told The Lagos Voice.

Fatimah admitted that the team did not have the best outing during the pre-season, but insists they are determined to avoid a repeat in the league.

“We are ready for the battle. Although we didn’t perform well in the pre-season, we are not ready to make the same mistakes in the league. We are going all out this time,” she added.

When asked about their toughest opponents, the captain mentioned Nasarawa Amazons as a traditionally strong side, but maintained that determination will give Dannaz Ladies an edge.

“Maybe Nasarawa because they are a more experienced side, but this time it doesn’t matter. We have faced them every season. If we are determined as a team, we can come out victorious,” she said.

Fatimah also highlighted the competitiveness of the league, noting that any team could emerge as a strong contender this season.

“Dannaz Ladies, FC Robo, Nasarawa Amazons… I can’t say who will be the toughest because everybody is preparing to give their best. It can be any team,” she concluded.
