His visit aimed to express gratitude for the Lagos State Government’s support for the NYSC, strengthen their positive relationship, and assure the Governor of ongoing Corps Member deployments in the state.
He praised the Governor for essential renovations at the temporary camp in Iyana-Ipaja and acknowledged the ongoing construction of a new 10,000-capacity Permanent Orientation Camp, expressing hope that it would soon be completed so that all Corps Members could be housed at the same facility rather than being split among several camps.
Additionally, General Nafiu requested an ambulance for the NYSC Secretariat and encouraged continued support for the organization, which he said is vital for operational efficiency in the state.
He also congratulated the Governor on the renovated national theatre, emphasizing its significance as a national landmark.
