The Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, has reiterated his dedication to youth empowerment by enabling 20 young individuals from Badagry to participate in an advanced digital literacy program centered on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
These participants engaged in a week-long training initiative organized by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board in partnership with Innovious. Entitled “Capital Development of Lagos Youth on Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics and Machine Learning,” the program aimed to equip young Lagosians for success in today’s rapidly changing global digital landscape.

The chosen 20 youths were selected from various locations in Badagry to ensure fair representation and inclusivity, joining other participants from different local government areas in Lagos State.
During the rigorous training, participants engaged in practical sessions covering artificial intelligence, machine learning basics, and data analytics for problem-solving. The focus was on real-world applications, enhancing the youths’ skills for immediate impact and innovation.

Commissioner Ogunlende was present at the closing ceremony held at Cordis Hotel in Ikeja, where he officially declared the program’s conclusion. He commended the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board and Innovious for launching this timely initiative which aligns seamlessly with the Lagos State Government’s commitment to youth development.
He also emphasized his readiness to forge deeper partnerships that will create more opportunities for young people throughout the state.
