In a bid to cover up the fraudulent act, the suspect also provided the victims with unauthorized Hajj materials such as branded bags, hijabs, wrappers, fake medical cards, and a Tecno Android phone, all of which were recovered during the investigation.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Sani, advised the public, especially those planning to perform Hajj, to deal directly with the agency to avoid falling victim to scams.
