The Kaduna State Police Command, in partnership with the Military, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna Vigilance Service (KADVS), local vigilante groups, and hunters, has initiated a significant anti-crime operation aimed at addressing criminal activities across the state.
As stated in a Tuesday announcement, this collaborative effort is actively taking place in Makarfi, Hunkuyi, and Ikara Local Government Areas, where security forces are working together to dismantle illegal camps, eliminate bandits and insurgents, and restore safety and order in the affected communities.

The Command emphasized that this initiative is in line with a directive from Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, who recently urged police commands nationwide to enhance their efforts to combat crime within their areas.
Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, reiterated the dedication of the security agencies to maintaining peace throughout Kaduna State, assuring residents that the clearance operations will be ongoing, well-coordinated, and thorough.
He encouraged the public to stay calm and assist security personnel as measures to ensure the state’s safety are intensified.
The statement was released by DSP Mansir Hassan, the Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police.
