The Lagos Voice reports that this initiative is implemented through a collaboration between the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN), and the Ecological Innovation Empowerment Initiative (EIEI).

A total of 131 young graduates, representing equal numbers of future male and female leaders, have been formally welcomed into a year-long program. This program equips them with the opportunity to acquire valuable industry insights, engage with experts, and work alongside important stakeholders within the energy sector.

Through strategic partnerships with Renewable Energy Service Companies, the REA has also gained support from the private sector. This collaboration ensures that participants of the NEXTGEN RESCO Program’s 2025 cohort can secure active positions within private sector companies in Nigeria, maximizing the expertise they have developed over the 12-month Program.
