A tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, overturned on the Tin Can Liverpool Bridge in Apapa, Lagos, on Monday morning, causing traffic disruption and raising serious safety concerns.
The accident led to a spill of highly flammable fuel beneath the bridge, attracting dozens of residents to the scene.

Video footage from the scene showed men and women gathering under the bridge, using containers to scoop petrol leaking from the overturned tanker.
