Club Confirms Ongoing Improvement Works

According to the club, deliberate steps have already been taken in recent weeks to improve the quality of the playing turf. These measures include intensified pitch maintenance, grass treatment, levelling of affected areas, and regular watering.

Shooting Stars noted that work on the pitch has been consistent, with efforts focused on restoring acceptable playing conditions while also ensuring long-term sustainability of the surface.

The club acknowledged that the ongoing dry season and harsh weather conditions have had a significant impact on the state of the pitch. However, it stressed that the situation has been actively managed despite the environmental challenges.

Officials maintained that improvements are progressing steadily, even as weather conditions continue to pose difficulties for turf maintenance.

Shooting Stars reiterated its commitment to providing a safe, professional, and broadcast-friendly playing environment that reflects the club’s history and standing in Nigerian football.

The club also confirmed it will continue to engage constructively with the NPFL in line with league directives, to ensure that home fixtures can continue to be played in Ibadan under approved conditions.

In closing, Shooting Stars expressed appreciation to their supporters, popularly known as the Oluyole faithful, for their patience, understanding, and continued backing as efforts continue to resolve the situation.

The NPFL is yet to announce any further decisions regarding the stadium’s status for upcoming fixtures.
