He noted that their prayers have been answered, and a thanksgiving event is planned for January 2026.

He pointed out that peace has returned to the area, enabling residents, most of whom are farmers, to resume farming activities.

Additionally, those who were displaced by past violence have returned to their homes.

He expressed gratitude towards the current federal and state governments, commending their inclusivity.

Bobai highlighted the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, a Federal Medical Centre, and other services in Southern Kaduna as signs of renewed focus on the region.

The retired naval officer remarked that while previous administrations overlooked Southern Kaduna in ministerial appointments, the current government under President Bola Tinubu has appointed a minister from the area, providing the locals with reasons for gratitude.

Bobai specifically thanked President Tinubu for appointing a son of Southern Kaduna as Chief of Defence Staff, later approving his role as Minister of Defence, and prayed for his guidance to tackle Nigeria’s security issues.

He also announced that the Southern Kaduna Festival (SKFEST) will no longer take place in December, following suggestions from the SKLC review committee regarding the festival’s timing and sustainability.
