SNWFSC president Jadesola Okaiyhan Adelabu said the fifth anniversary will surpass previous editions, highlighting its significance as a milestone celebration. She urged participants to demonstrate discipline and good behaviour while assuring them of an exciting and impactful experience.
The participating clubs and schools will engage in competitive football matches alongside mentoring sessions and developmental programs facilitated by prominent sports personalities.
Organisers believe this combination of sport and education will further inspire young girls to excel both on and off the pitch.
As preparations intensify, expectations are high that this year’s IGCD will strengthen the movement for women’s football in Nigeria while reinforcing the importance of empowering the girl child through sport and advocacy.
