Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for Oyo State in the upcoming 2027 elections, has articulated his approach to addressing the issues surrounding the 110km Ibadan Circular Road.
He pledged that if the people of Oyo State grant him the opportunity to lead, he will form a committee within 48 hours to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the project, taking into account the controversies related to land acquisition, inadequate compensation for property owners, and more.

During a recent event called “A Day with BSA” with journalists from the National Union of Journalists, Oyo State chapter, Senator Alli stated that the committee would provide the government with guidance on how to proceed with the Circular Road initiative.
He assured property owners along the Circular Road that his administration would be fair and just, promising support to those affected. Senator Alli emphasized the necessity of conducting a serious and honest assessment of the ongoing Circular Road project.
“I recognize that many residents near the Ibadan Circular Road have suffered significant losses, including homes, schools, shops, churches, mosques, and vacant plots of land, and tragically, some have even lost their lives.
