The United States has launched a new wave of military strikes against Iran after President Donald Trump vowed to hit the country “very hard” in response to Iran’s recent missile attacks on U.S. forces in the Middle East.

The strikes which lasted for two hours reportedly began at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday (0000 GMT on Thursday) and ended at 10 p.m. ET (0200 GMT on Thursday).
After President Trump accused Iran of launching a surprise ballistic missile attack against American forces in Jordan. He claimed the U.S attack as a retaliation to the Iranian strike.

According to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the operation targeted dozens of Iranian military sites, including missile and drone facilities, command centers, coastal surveillance systems, and assets linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
