The council chair condemned the abduction as a clear act of criminality and lamented that it occurred in broad daylight in a busy area. He stated that all security agencies in the state have been notified and called for efforts to ensure the safe return of the victim.

“This incident is a serious breach of public safety and an assault on the peaceful residents of Ilaje,” Oripenaye remarked, adding that witnesses have confirmed that Owoloemi was taken at gunpoint. He expressed his support for the victim’s family and friends during this challenging time.
