22-year-old man sentenced to 12 years imprisonment for raping 4-year old girl

A 22-year-old man named Rabilu Sani has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl in Jakusko Local Government Area of Yobe State.

A Magistrate Court in Injiyaji, Damaturu, heard that Sani had lured the young girl into a room and attacked her last year. He was arrested on November 9, 2025, and faced court following a thorough investigation.

The judge presiding over Magistrate Court 1 declared that the evidence presented was convincing enough to warrant a conviction, leading to Sani’s sentence of 12 years without the possibility of a fine.
