Abayomi Arabambi, the National Vice Chairman of the Labour Party for the South-West, announced that the party’s leaders, including Governor Alex Otti, have collectively decided to endorse Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election for 2027.
During an interview on News Central on Thursday, Arabambi stated, “Abure and Governor Alex Otti have all agreed that we will support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as this presidency belongs to the South-West, not the South.” He emphasized that this plan is intended to ensure the South-West completes its eight-year term in the presidency.

Arabambi criticized Usman for allegedly acting on behalf of Obi, suggesting that her attempt to reinstate the former Anambra governor is based on her realization that he will not receive the presidential nomination from the coalition-supported African Democratic Congress (ADC).
“Nenadi is merely a supporter of Peter Obi. She is fooling herself. She wants Obi to be our presidential candidate, but that is not going to happen,” he remarked, encouraging her to abandon the idea regardless of who is backing it.
“She should forget that notion, no matter who is supporting her,” he concluded.
