If Obi doesn’t get ADC ticket and leaves party, He is working for tinubu — Kenneth Okonkwo

Kenneth Okonkwo, a Nigerian actor and lawyer, has stated that any presidential candidate in the ADC coalition who departs the party over internal issues may be seen as politically compromised.

In an interview on Channels Television, he cautioned that this action could be perceived as working against the coalition’s interests.

He mentioned that if Peter Obi does not obtain the ADC presidential ticket and chooses to leave, supporters could interpret this as him aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s political agenda.

Okonkwo remarked, “If he leaves, will he then be a mobile supporter? Any presidential aspirant from the ADC who leaves the party amidst the current challenges is essentially a mobile supporter and therefore working for Tinubu.”

He emphasized that since all coalition leaders are dealing with these crises, it raises the question of what impact one individual could have by leaving. He concluded that anyone exiting the coalition is compromised and effectively supporting Tinubu, regardless of who they are.

In his view, a candidate’s departure from the ADC after failing to secure the presidential ticket may be seen as an indirect endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s political goals.
