When discussing the prospect of facing Tinubu directly in the election, Melaye expressed certainty about his victory in a fair electoral process. “Let’s have a free and fair election, and I will defeat him decisively. He won’t even be able to rise again,” he asserted. When asked about the location of such a contest, he replied, “In the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If he allows a free and fair election; if not, we will ensure he conducts our election.”
