Tinubu’s daughter Folasade, rejects Lagos APC primary results, threatens to stage protest

Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria and daughter of President Tinubu, has announced plans to protest the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) primary results, citing alleged irregularities.

During a meeting with market leaders in Ikeja, she accused the primaries of being unfairly influenced to benefit the Justice Forum faction and raised concerns about the validity of results from areas such as Mushin II, Agege II, and Ojokoro.

The Lagos APC, led by Cornelius Ojelabi, had already released a list of candidates for the House of Representatives and State Assembly, confirming 24 nominees for Reps and 40 for Assembly elections in 2027, which included Mojisola Meranda among others statewide.

Despite this, Tinubu-Ojo asserted that certain aspirants, including Seye Oladejo, Mutiu Olaide Oladeebo, and Olotu Ojo, were the rightful winners and should be acknowledged. She called for a prompt review of the primaries to prevent escalating internal conflicts.

Tinubu-Ojo also cautioned that the growing divide between the Justice Forum and Mandate Group could undermine APC unity as the 2027 elections approach, emphasizing the need for fairness and inclusion among all members.
