The Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA), in collaboration with the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has trained 100 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in digital citizenship and skills.
The two-day training, held from September 9 to 10, 2026, at The Cordis Hotel, Alausa, Ikeja, focused on promoting safe and responsible digital participation while equipping participants with practical skills for employment, entrepreneurship and socio-economic inclusion.
Representing the LASODA General Manager, Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, at the opening ceremony, the Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Orientation, Dr. Funmi Adekola, commended the NCC for deliberately including PWDs in its digital empowerment agenda.

She also appreciated Fornido Development Limited for coordinating the training, expressing hope that participants would apply the knowledge gained to create tangible opportunities.
The participants received certificates at the end of the programme.
