The Lagos State Government has appealed to motorists to remain patient as heavy traffic persists on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway following a fallen truck and ongoing rehabilitation work at Kara Bridge.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Mr. Olawale Musa, said the truck had been evacuated by LASTMA but noted that traffic congestion was worsened by motorists driving against traffic.

He said additional traffic officers had been deployed to the axis, while the state government continues to work with LASTMA, the police, and Ogun State traffic authorities to improve traffic flow.

LASTMA General Manager, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, urged motorists to obey traffic regulations and consider alternative routes, including Ikorodu–Ogijo–Sagamu, Lagos–Abeokuta and Ikorodu–Ijebu-Ode roads.
