According to police accounts, Coleman arrived at the scene in a black Jeep and repeatedly interfered with officers as they carried out their duties.

Authorities state that Coleman’s actions led to his arrest for resisting an officer. Following his detention, officers searched his vehicle and allegedly discovered a glass smoking device that was believed to contain cannabis residue.

Coleman was subsequently taken into custody and transported to jail separately from Richardson.

Another elite sprinter, Twanisha Terry, was also present during the incident. Police issued her a citation for stopping on a limited-access highway. She was later released without further charges.

Both Richardson and Coleman were processed independently and detained following the incident. Details surrounding the initial reason for Richardson’s arrest have not yet been fully disclosed by authorities.

The situation marks another controversial moment for the high-profile sprinting couple, who have both been under public scrutiny in recent months.

The arrest follows an earlier incident in July, when Richardson was detained at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport after an altercation involving Coleman. That episode was captured on airport security footage and attracted widespread attention.
