El-Rufai urges Zamfara residents to join ADC to address security, economic issues

Former Kaduna Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai has called on residents of Zamfara State to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to help address the increasing security and economic issues in the region, towards 2027 election.

During a gathering with ADC supporters in Gusau on Sunday, El-Rufai emphasized that the party has devised strategies to enhance security, boost the economy, and improve food production in Zamfara.

He urged party members to stay united, avoid infighting, and collaborate with youth and women’s organizations to promote ADC’s objectives at the grassroots level. El-Rufai also encouraged eligible voters to secure their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

ADC Deputy National Organising Secretary Abubakar Atiku remarked that El-Rufai’s visit would reinforce the party’s unity and encourage cooperation among Zamfara members.

Zamfara State ADC Chairman Alhaji Kabiru Garba noted that the event saw attendees from all 14 local government areas, including youth and women, highlighting the party’s expanding influence and membership. The gathering also included local politicians, Islamic leaders, and community representatives from across the state.
