Activist Aisha Yesufu has called on Nigerians to engage actively in politics, emphasizing that neutrality is no longer feasible as political decisions now directly impact everyone’s lives.
During an interview, she highlighted the increasing public interest in the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) and its candidate but pointed out that the larger issue transcends individual political parties.
Yesufu urged Nigerians to come together to prevent any government or political entity from taking the nation lightly. She stated, “This is not the time to remain neutral. Even if you claim to avoid politics, it’s already affecting you.”
She encouraged citizens to view themselves as the genuine opposition, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding their votes and ensuring the rightful winners are declared.

She stressed the importance of vigilance until the votes cast by citizens are accurately represented in the final results.
