The ADC candidate emphasized that this primary result signifies the start of a renewed effort to advocate for accountability, good governance, and transformation in Lagos State leading up to the 2027 elections.

“The real work starts now. Together, we will continue to foster a movement that embodies hope, progress, and accountable governance for our people,” he added.

Rhodes-Vivour refuted earlier social media claims that he had lost the primary, calling those reports misleading and speculative.

In a statement issued on Monday addressing the rumors, he said, “If only wishes were horses, and if only we could just sit back and write results on Excel sheets to win elections.”

He affirmed that his political network and support throughout Lagos State remain robust, despite criticisms from rivals and skeptics.

Citing comedian Dave Chappelle, Rhodes-Vivour remarked, “When a hero stumbles, cowards rejoice. Nothing pleases a coward more than to see a brave individual fall.”

He also shared that his supporters began celebrating even before the official results were announced, fueled by their confidence in a decisive victory.

“Since Friday, the win was so clear that we began our celebrations ahead of time. Last night we received the official confirmation of our landslide victory,” he noted.

Following the primary’s conclusion, political analysts expect the ADC candidate to ramp up consultations, grassroots outreach, and statewide engagement as he prepares for the highly anticipated 2027 Lagos governorship election.
