This initiative, announced by the local government, is designed to assist local Muslim residents traveling home to celebrate Ileya with their families while reducing transportation expenses during the holiday.

As per the announcement, free bus services will run on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from various designated pickup locations in Lagos. These locations include CMS Bus Stop and Ikorodu Garage, with multiple trips planned to accommodate passengers.
Buses from CMS Bus Stop will depart at 10:00am, 12:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm, and 5:00pm, and those leaving from Ikorodu Garage are scheduled for 10:00am, 12:00pm, and 3:00pm.
