The Lagos-based side has shown flashes of quality this season but continues to struggle in front of goal, scoring seven and conceding seven in seven matches. Currently sitting 12th on the NPFL table with eight points, Ikorodu City have recorded one win, five draws, and one defeat so far this campaign.

On the other hand, Bendel Insurance have endured a tough start to the season. The Benin Arsenal have scored six goals and conceded nine from seven matches, placing them 17th on the log with six points. Their woes have been compounded by the suspension of their head coach, which could further affect the team’s morale heading into this fixture.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Ikorodu City head coach expressed confidence in his players’ ability to deliver a positive result at home.

“We’ve created enough chances in our previous games, but we need to be more clinical in front of goal. The boys know what’s at stake, and we are determined to give our fans something to cheer about this weekend,” he said.

With both teams desperate for a win, fans should expect a fierce and entertaining battle at the Onikan Stadium as Ikorodu City aim to capitalize on home advantage and climb up the league table.
