He stated, “On behalf of the Lagos State Government, represented by LASODA, each beneficiary will receive ₦100,000. While this support won’t resolve all your problems, it is a sign of our deep concern for you and our commitment to not forgetting you. We’re here to support you, and you will receive your payment before you leave. There will also be a symbolic presentation of dummy cheques for documentation and photos.”

The event empowered numerous individuals from various disability categories, including Ms. Akanbi Opayemi Blessing, Omo Tola Owolabi, and Gift Blessing Igwe from the visually impaired group, as well as Shonibare Adenike Mustapha Ganiyu from the physically challenged community.

Mr. Akinbule praised the beneficiaries for their perseverance and encouraged them to make effective use of the support to improve their lives. He also reiterated LASODA’s commitment to fostering inclusion, empowerment, and equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities in Lagos State.

This two-day initiative is part of LASODA’s wider mission to implement the Lagos State Special People’s Law and create a more inclusive community where people with disabilities can thrive and actively contribute to the state’s progress.
