NYCN Remembers a Dedicated Youth Leader
In a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Victor K. Adogbajale, the NYCN Lagos Chapter described Suliyat as a vibrant youth leader whose contributions to youth development would not be forgotten.
The council highlighted her service as Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Lagos Youth Business Luncheon and as one of the Directors of the Lagos Youth Development Institute, where she devoted her time and energy to initiatives that empowered young people across Lagos.

“Her passing is a painful loss to the Lagos youth community and to all who had the privilege of working with her,” the statement read.
NYCN extended condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones, praying for strength and comfort during the difficult period.
NULASS Pays Tribute to “A Vibrant Comrade”
Another tribute came from Comrade Oyewumi A. Zikrullah, who remembered Suliyat as a proud NULASS UNILAG alumna whose passion for students’ affairs left a lasting impact.
He described her as a committed comrade whose energy and dedication made meaningful contributions to the student community.
“Her passion, energy, and commitment to students’ affairs will surely be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing and working with her,” he said.

Zikrullah prayed for Allah to forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds, grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and give her loved ones the strength to bear the loss.
Corroborating NULASS UNILAG, former NULASS National PRO, Hassan Abdulsalam described the pain as a very painful one.

Joining the growing list of mourners, Hon. Abiodun Orekoya, Chairman of the Lagos State House Committee on Youth, Sports and Social Development, described Suliyat’s passing as a significant loss to the youth community.

According to the lawmaker, her contributions to youth development, particularly within Somolu and the Lagos State Youth Parliament, reflected her dedication to public service.
“Her passing is a painful loss to the youth community, Somolu, the Lagos State Youth Parliament, and her family,” Orekoya said.
He also prayed for Allah’s mercy upon her soul and comfort for her family, colleagues, and friends.
