The Education and Library Services Department has organized a Security Awareness Program for schools as part of ongoing efforts to promote safety, vigilance, and preparedness among students and school staff within the Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

The programme is aimed at equipping participants with essential knowledge on personal safety and effective response strategies to potential security threats within and around the school environment.

During the engagement, students and school personnel were sensitized on basic security tips, situational awareness, and appropriate actions to take in the event of suspicious activities or emergencies.

The initiative emphasized the importance of early reporting, alertness, and cooperation between schools and relevant security stakeholders to ensure a safe learning atmosphere.
