LYDI appoints YABATECH rector as Advisory Council member

The Lagos Youth Development Institute (LYDI) has begun the 2026 year with a strong statement of intent, advancing its youth empowerment agenda through a strategic engagement with Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH).

In a high-level courtesy visit, LYDI’s management team, led by its Director-General, Dr. Jamiu Ademosu, met with the Rector of YABATECH, Dr. Engr. Ibraheem Adedotun Abdul, to explore collaborative opportunities aimed at strengthening youth development initiatives across Lagos State.

During the engagement, the YABATECH Rector expressed strong support for LYDI’s vision, noting that the institution is well-positioned to contribute its academic resources, technical capacity, and innovation ecosystem to youth empowerment programmes.

He reaffirmed the college’s readiness to collaborate on initiatives that will better prepare young people for leadership and economic participation in a rapidly changing society.

A major outcome of the visit was the appointment of Dr. Engr. Ibraheem Adedotun Abdul as a Member of the Lagos Youth Development Institute Advisory Council, a move seen as a significant boost to the Institute’s advisory and strategic framework.

The Rector further demonstrated commitment by formally endorsing LYDI’s partnership letter, laying the groundwork for sustained collaboration.
