The match lived up to its billing as both sides displayed attacking intent and determination from kickoff. Kano Pillars drew first blood in the 8th minute when Mustapha J calmly slotted home after a defensive lapse by the visitors. The early goal set the tone for an intense contest, with the home side pushing for more while 3SC battled to find their rhythm.

Shooting Stars gradually grew into the game, creating several chances but were kept at bay by a resolute Kano Pillars defense and an inspired goalkeeper. Just when it seemed the Sai Masu Gida would secure a vital home win, substitute Mustapha A struck deep into stoppage time to snatch a deserved equalizer for the Oluyole Warriors.

The dramatic finish left the Kano fans stunned, as their team dropped valuable points on home soil. With the result, Shooting Stars moved up to 5th position on the NPFL table with 12 points, while Kano Pillars slipped to 17th place in the relegation zone, having collected just 8 points from 8 matches.
