The newly appointed Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, Tijani Fatai, has declared his commitment to intensifying the fight against cultism and other violent crimes to bolster security throughout the state.

Fatai made this pledge during his inaugural address on Thursday as the 42nd Commissioner of the Lagos State Police Command, where he detailed his strategy for tackling the region’s evolving security issues.

He announced that the command would prioritize proactive, intelligence-led methods for crime prevention, asserting that criminal elements will find no sanctuary in Lagos.

“Our operational focus will include reducing crime to the barest minimum, tackling cultism and violent crimes, strengthening visibility policing, ensuring discipline on our roads, and restoring peace in identified black spots across the state,” Fatai stated. “Criminal elements will find no safe haven in Lagos.”
