HRM Oba Olukayode David Raji, the Eweye of Isiu Kingdom in Ikorodu North LCDA, has urged Nigerian youths to be more intentional about their future by focusing on and protecting their names.

The monarch gave this important advice during a visit from the leadership of the Nigerian Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos East, led by its Vice Chairman, Asoro Abubakar.

The monarch’s counsel emphasised that a good name is an invaluable asset, one that can open doors to success and opportunities.

He stressed that in today’s world, where social media and public perception hold major influence, a reputation built on integrity and hard work is paramount.

“Your name is the most powerful tool you will ever possess,” Oba Olukayode stated.

He added, “It is a reflection of your character and a key to your destiny. I urge you all to be conscious of your actions, to work hard, and to uphold your integrity. Do not be swayed by the pressure to take shortcuts. By focusing on your education and skills, and by protecting your name, you are building a legacy that will last a lifetime.”

In his address, Asoro Abubakar, Vice Chairman of the NYCN Lagos East, expressed profound gratitude to the monarch for his continuous support and mentorship.

He highlighted the significant impact of Oba Olukayode’s wisdom on youths across the senatorial district.
