Born on 4 August 1962, Badejo has built a career spanning more than three decades in teaching, research, mentorship, curriculum development, and institutional leadership. She is widely recognised for her contributions to counselling psychology and higher education in Nigeria.

Professor Badejo obtained her Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in 1983. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in 1986 and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in 1988.

In 1998, she completed a PhD in Guidance and Counselling at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
