Before the official opening, the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, informed the media that the project includes 420 apartments with a combination of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units designed to cater to both middle- and lower-income families.
“The completion of the Ajara Phase 1 Housing Estate marks another step forward in Governor Sanwo-Olu’s promise to finalize ongoing housing projects and ensure that every resident has access to quality, affordable living spaces,” Akinderu-Fatai stated.
He also highlighted that the initiative will help alleviate Lagos’ housing shortage while promoting local economic growth in the Badagry area by creating job opportunities and supporting associated businesses.
The Commissioner thanked subscribers and residents for their patience and confidence in the Sanwo-Olu administration during the construction phase of the project.
“We appreciate our subscribers for their understanding and continued support. Interested buyers are encouraged to visit the Estate Department of the Ministry of Housing at Block 3, Alausa Secretariat. Please note that the Ministry does not use agents for selling housing units, and we advise potential buyers to be cautious of scammers,” he warned.
The Ajara Badagry Housing Estate is one of several initiatives under the Sanwo-Olu administration’s Greater Lagos Housing Initiative, designed to address the housing gap and promote inclusive urban development throughout the state.
