“I took an oath to serve all Nigerians, not a section. That oath guides every bridge, road, rail, power, and health project we deliver,” Tinubu said.
Among the highlighted projects are the Lagos – Calabar Coastal Highway in the South, the Sokoto – Badagry Superhighway in the North, the Port Harcourt – Maiduguri rail in the East, and the Abuja– Kaduna – Kano expressway in the Centre. The Trans-Saharan Highway, which connects Nigeria with other African countries, was also listed.
According to government data, ₦5.97 trillion worth of projects are ongoing in the North-West, including the Sokoto – Gusau – Funtua – Zaria road and the Kano–Maiduguri dual carriageway. The South-West is receiving ₦604 billion in spending, covering the Lagos – Ibadan and Oyo – Ogbomoso – Ilorin roads. In the South-East, projects worth ₦407 billion include the Enugu – Onitsha and Enugu – Port Harcourt roads, while the South-South is allocated ₦421 billion for works such as the East – West Road and the Bodo – Bonny link road.
Beyond roads and rail, the administration announced the rehabilitation of over 1,000 primary health centres nationwide, a revived 255MW power plant in Kaduna, and the expansion of oil exploration in Bauchi and Gombe. Light rail projects in Kano, Kaduna, Lagos, and Ogun have also been approved, while the AKK gas pipeline has advanced across the River Niger.
The President said the projects are designed to create 250,000 jobs and improve living standards for farmers, traders, students, and patients across the country.
“This is the equity of Renewed Hope. No Nigerian is second class, no region is left behind. Together we will rise as one nation, one people, and one destiny,” he added.
