Oyo govt orchestrated schoolchildren abduction to blackmail Tinubu — Ayodele Fayose

Fayose has come to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s defense regarding Nigeria’s issues, asserting that the president is doing his utmost, even though he inherited significant challenges from the previous administration.

During an appearance on Channels Television, Fayose remarked that Tinubu “effectively took control of the government” after succeeding former President Muhammadu Buhari, opting to address the issues left behind rather than distancing himself from his predecessor.

In his remarks on the abductions, he expressed, “I firmly believe, though I could be mistaken, that these events can be orchestrated. I suspect that this was, in some manner, orchestrated by the Oyo State government as a tactic to blackmail President Tinubu.”

He also criticized the Oyo State government’s lack of prompt action during the abduction incidents, suggesting they only became actively involved after political nominations were completed.

Despite this, Fayose recognized the gravity of the situation, deeming the abductions as “tragic” while insisting that the federal government should not be held solely accountable for security issues.
