He explained that the current location, once a residential area, has been negatively impacted by unplanned development, which has led to the displacement of many residents.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, with a commitment to sustainable urban development, has mandated that the new site be developed to meet international standards for a smooth transition.

Arc. Oki shared that the government will provide a 15-hectare site featuring various facilities, including trailer parks, hotels, banks, a police station, a fire station, and other community resources.

He urged all stakeholders to work together with the developer to ensure a seamless and organized relocation to this well-planned area.

Mrs. Abisola Azeez, the market’s Iya Oloja, expressed her confidence after the meeting, saying, “All my concerns have been addressed. I encourage the developer to adhere strictly to the design specifications and timelines to ensure the full completion of the relocation.”

Developer Mr. Sam Ajose appreciated the support from the Lagos State Government and market stakeholders, announcing that a flexible payment plan would be implemented to ease the transition.
