Florence Ajimobi pays tribute to late daughter, Abisola Kola-Daisi

Florence Ajimobi, the former First Lady of Oyo State, has shared a heartfelt tribute in memory of her late daughter, Abisola Kola-Daisi, who passed away on March 27, 2025.

Known affectionately as Bizlow and Abi-KD, Abisola was characterized by her mother as the family’s “fashionista,” embodying love, compassion, grace, and purpose throughout her life. Born on March 12, 1981, she lived for 44 years, filled with what her mother referred to as “light, generosity, and an extraordinary ability to impact lives.”

In her tribute, Florence expressed that her heart is “both broken and full”—broken by the loss of her first child but filled with gratitude for the love and memories Abisola represented.

She reminisced about her daughter’s vibrant spirit throughout her life, describing her as a gift “wrapped in joy, laughter, curiosity, and grace.” Abisola had a unique talent for transforming ordinary moments into something special through her warmth and sincerity.

Florence highlighted the privilege of motherhood, noting that Abisola taught her the essence of unconditional love and the strength found in quiet moments. Although her daughter’s life was cut short, her influence remains everlasting.

Florence also reflected on Abisola’s development into a woman “anchored in love, faith, and family,” who ultimately “found her wings” and embraced the person God intended her to be—brilliant, compassionate, courageous, and selfless.

Drawing from scripture, including Genesis 2:24, 2 Timothy 4:7, and Psalm 46:10, she conveyed her belief in the promise of eternal reunion and surrendered to God’s will. She described her daughter’s spirit as living on “in every memory, every smile, and every quiet moment of grace.”

In closing her tribute, she wrote: “Rest peacefully in the embrace of our Lord Jesus Christ, my precious first fruit. You soared with grace. You lived with purpose. And you were, and will always be, deeply loved.”

The tribute serves as a poignant remembrance of a daughter, wife, and cherished family member whose life made an unforgettable impact o n all who knew her.
