Tpl/Esv. Oladimeji Animashaun, the General Manager of LASURA, stated that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is dedicated to providing compensation to affected property owners. He lauded the Governor’s track record of fulfilling promises, highlighted by the prior compensation awarded to 79 displaced residents during the first round.

Animashaun also expressed gratitude to Dr. Olajide Babatunde, the Special Adviser on E-GIS and Urban Development, and Arc Gbolahan Oki, the Permanent Secretary of the Office of Urban Development, for their contributions.

Residents participating in the enumeration are required to present necessary documents, which include LASSRA ID cards, passport photos, land receipts or conveyance deeds, and bank account information. A committee made up of LASURA staff, community leaders, and representatives from the affected residents will verify these documents before issuing cheques to eligible individuals.

Representatives from FCMB were on-site to assist residents in opening bank accounts for those without one, facilitating the payment process.

Residents shared their appreciation for Governor Sanwo-Olu and the LASURA team for their thoroughness and reliability in managing the enumeration. They expressed thanks for the government’s commitment to compensating affected property owners.
